WFPAT1

WFPAT1 Preliminary Test Instructions

Clearance to Participate

Prior to undergoing the WFPAT1 test, candidates must complete the Get Active Questionnaire.

A positive (YES) answer to one or more questions requires the candidate to complete the Get Active Questionnaire – Reference Document. The Reference Document may direct the candidate to follow-up with a physician or Qualified Exercise Professional (QEP) for clearance to participate in the WFPAT1 testing by completing a WFPAT1 and Job Responsibilities Medical Release form. The participant must provide the completed clearance form(s) to the WFPAT1 Appraiser.

Each candidate’s resting blood pressure and resting heart rate will be measured onsite before the test. A resting or pre WFPAT1 blood pressure of less than 160/90 mmHg, and a resting or pre WFPAT1 heart rate of less than 100 BPM is required.

If a candidate’s blood pressure or heart rate exceeds this cut point, they will require primary health care provider clearance because of the vigorous intensity nature of the WFPAT1 test.
