Agency Preparedness Level (APL)

Determined daily by provincial/territorial/agency duty officers and entered as part of each agency’s submission to the CIFFC National Situation Report.
The Agency Preparedness Level (APL) is determined through an assessment of the following criteria: Agency Fire Danger, Current Fire Load, Anticipated Fire Load (7 days), Agency Resource Levels and Agency’s Ability to Respond to CIFFC Resource Requests.
The APL is provided as situational awareness to support and assist with interagency resource sharing decisions planning and to assist with determining the National Preparedness Level.
